Local mom and pop sushi store in Russian Hill. A lot of food variety and wonderful prices. The restaurant opened about 15 minutes later than the posted time, at 5:45pm. Bento boxes combos were great priced especially for dinner ($24). A simple special toro roll was $9, unagi roll was $8, and seasons roll was $13. There's about 5 or 6 tables and a bar seats. The food came out quickly and it pretty good. Large pieces of sushi for your price. My favorite was the seasons roll since it had variety of fishes: salmon, yellowtail, tuna, tobiko. I would definitely come back for the rolls since it is an awesome deal

This is my favorite "discreet" neighborhood sushi restaurant! You can easily miss it if you're walking by too quickly. It looks small on the outside, and I'm sad that they got rid of their Outdoor Parklet, but it is a decent sized place inside. My favorite is the Alaska roll and Hamachi lovers roll. It is one of the last few restaurants where you get quality for a decent price. All of the servers are friendly and attentive. This place can get filled up quickly, so if you don't want to wait in line, you'll need to arrive early for a seat at a table.

Cozy neighborhood sushi spot. Affordable, delicious, and some of the sweetest service I've had in the city in a while. The fried squid was perfectly crispy and salty. All the fish was fresh and the rolls were tasty and well balanced. A new favorite spot!

I walked in with no reservation for a cheeky takeaway order and was welcomed like family. They brought me a warm cup of tea and the food came out quick. Sushi itself was great value, I'm lucky to call myself a local. Will be back asap

Small sushi restaurant, came on a Friday evening and the restaurant was almost full but my party of 2 sat at the sushi bar & had no wait. The vibes are casual and cosy, and the service here was friendly. Starting off, we got the agedashi tofu and salmon teriyaki & tempura dinner plate. The tofu was crispy and had a ton of sauce, happy with what we got & would order again. The dinner plate came with miso soup & rice and the salmon was perfectly cooked, not dry inside and slightly crispy on the outside. I thought the dinner plate was good but wouldn't order again because I feel like the amount of food was a bit small for the price. The sushi here was so worth it. The quality is fresh and solid for the price, and the servings of fish are large. I feel like the amount of fish on the nigiri is twice that of some other restaurants I've had. I also enjoyed the 4 seasons roll due to the variety of fish it had- each roll piece was about an inch or a bit larger. My only disappointment here was getting the fresh wasabi since it tasted like regular wasabi with a very prominent horse radish taste.

Fast reliable service. Cheap, no fuss sushi. $7-9 dollar small rolls. Love coming here on the weekday when I'm craving sushi! Nothing fancy but it'll get the job done :) Simple interior and nice ambiance.

Very yum and lowkey spot! I unfortunately didn't take any pictures of the food, but the service was quick, the restaurant is very small and cozy. Prices were very great for the sushi we got. Loved finding this hidden gem on Polk St!

Truly exceeded my expectations in every way! From the outside, appeared like a hole-in-the-wall cheap sushi place but once I stepped inside, I was pleasantly surprised by how authentic the interior was (similar to joints in Japan)! The fish on display looked incredibly fresh, making me excited for the food to come. We came pretty early on a Friday night (before 6) so there were still some spots available but they quickly filled up by the time we left. We got the potato pancakes, four seasons specialty roll ($13), and the hamachi lover specialty roll ($17), which was the perfect amount for two people. The croquettes were delicious--slightly crispy on the outside and melt-in-your-mouth on the inside without that over oily taste--and only around $6 too! Both sushi rolls had the fattest pieces of fish I've seen at a restaurant! The four seasons roll had four types of fish inside, leading to a truly spectacular mash of flavors inside your mouth. This one came with only 6 pieces which was why it was a bit cheaper than the other specialty roll. My favorite was the hamachi lover roll, which had a bit of kick to it due to a sauce on the inside, making it really flavorful and unique! Our waitresses were also very attentive - definitely would come back to try more of their specialty rolls and makimono!

Visited to try the chefs special, which is 9 pieces of nigiri for $21. Pretty unassuming place, I didn't have very high expectations, but the chefs special was actually quite good. They served really large slices of fish and the quality was solid as well. It's not the highest quality sushi you can get in the city but overall pretty tasty, especially considering the price. We got two additional rolls, which were again, generous portions and pretty tasty. Worth trying if you're in the area and craving sushi.
